- To improve the health of the orphaned, disadvantaged and remote villagers
- To assist the rural health post by providing better health care
- To conduct various programs to promote a better understanding and acceptance of good health practices
- To educate through seminars, workshops and conferences so that there will be a reduction in premature death and preventable deaths.
- To co-ordinate and co-operate with local, national and international agencies
- To identify major issues regarding to health and hygiene and work to overcome these issues

- What we’ve achieved so far:
- 2007 – Founding of SPHMN with the support of the local community
- 2007 – Registration of SPHMN with the Social Welfare Council and District Administration office in Kathmandu
- 2008 – Employment of staff; doctor, nurse and laboratory assistant
- 2008 – Attraction of sponsorship to fund the employment of staff and running costs of the clinic at a cost of approximately $20,000AUD each year
- 2009 – Ghandruk VDC provided sole building for SPHMN for base with the capacity of 5 rooms
- 2009 – Laboratory and Pathological service set up
- 2009 – Community Pharmacy Medicine outlet established in a secure facility
- 2009 – Renovation inside clinic
- 2010 – Well stock Pharmacy established
- 2011 – Web-site upgraded and SPHMN Nepal trekking blog launched
- 2011 – Stage 1 repairs and maintenance to sub-health post with World Expeditions
